Of the 16 years practising Iyengar and Astanga Vinyasa Yoga Suzanne Nichole Preston has been teaching for 11 years.
Suzanne has taught at the Manchester Yoga Shala Yoga Space (Manchester) and currently teaches Yoga in numerous health and fitness clubs in Greater Manchester and London.
Suzanne runs private Yoga sessions for individuals and groups. Over her 11 years teaching yoga Suzanne has worked with prestigious football teams, athletes, charities, run Yoga sessions on set with TV production companies for actors and crew, office sessions for businesses, theatres and writers centres.
Suzanne's passion for Yoga and understanding of movement makes her a great teacher for those who have a well developed practice and for beginners.
Suzanne's sessions are dynamic, flowing classes, synchronising movement and breath, focusing on mobilizing the spine and working from the core to find the natural, organic movement of your body. This, Suzanne explains, helps to create strong foundations from which to explore all the postures and build a dynamic focused practice.
Suzanne is inspired by many approaches and disciplines from Yoga to Chi Gong, the teachings of BKS Iyengar and Sri K Pattabhi Jois. All these disciplines have given Suzanne strong foundations to build true all round wellbeing into your Yoga practise. Suzanne's background in dance (Ballet and contempary) helps her explore the synchronism of body and mind through the use of breath, movement and stillness.
By looking at what we need in the moment, Suzanne says, rather than recreating a textbook posture you can make your Yoga practise more fluid. In recent years Suzanne has been influenced in both her practice and teaching by Donna Farhi, Erich Schiffman and Vanda Scaravelli.
Suzanne says “Yoga is a personal practice and we must work with honesty, respect and compassion. I can show my students how to take their practice off the yoga mats and into daily life”
