Location:

I will guide you through using a basic commercial sewing pattern. I will show you how to modify a pattern for a better fit and develop the design to make a truely unique garment. You will develop your machine skills and end up with a high quality dress. We can discuss the style of the garment you wish to design and for what occasion it will be worn.

If you wish to learn basic dressmaking through childrens wear I can provide the fabrics as due to the size it will be first of all cheaper in fabrics but also in the amount of time required it will be less and therefore cheaper :D Always a good thing :D

SUBJECTS: components and trimings, cutting, How to use a commercial pattern, overlocking, pinning, tacking, various construction techniques

Rates:

you will be expected to supply the fabrics, including main outer fabric, any lining and components and trimmings as the course would be too expensive for me to provide the fabrics and components. The cost is for my time only at £10 per hour. I may need to charge more if I have to travel a long distance.
