A general adult lesson in singing will cover a little of all the aspects of singing.
We will begin with vocal exercises.
These carefully designed exercises are tailored to your needs. Once learn't these exercises become the tools you will use to warm up your voice, stretch the muscles and ligaments, utilised in correct vocal production, and to place the resonance of your pitches correctly.
You will be advised to record the exercises each week so that they can be repeated, up to a maximum of every other day, until the next lesson. The process is the same as with learning to dance (ballet barre exercises) or athletics (gym exercises and stretches) or in fact any physical discipline or endeavour!
In time this process will produce a free, easy and strong voice with a wide range suited to your voice type.
In between exercises you will learn to read and understand music so that new repertoire can be learn't more easily.
The final 20 minutes will usually be spent on some repertoire. Apply technique and working on performance.
