Thanks to an inspiring teacher in secondary school, I discovered a talent for foreign languages at an early age. I firmly believe you can learn a lot more about a person if you speak the same language. I now speak five.

In the eighties I began a career designing IT solutions for business problems and managed a number of multi-lingual, cross-functional, geographically-disparate project teams. This enabled me to use my creative problem-solving skills and my knowledge of languages, and to travel extensively throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
