I have been dancing Arab Egyptian Dance since 1991. My early, ongoing training was with Wendy Buonaventura and Jacqui Jamal. I trained with Amel Tafsout,and attended workshops with great artists such as Hossam and Serena Ramzy, and Maria D`Silva. Other teachers have been the Arab people. I have lived with Arab people in an Arab country and, never tire of the ambience that comes with an Arab women "get together".

In my classes I offer posture and technique: these are the building blocks. The classes are fun, and women can develop at their own pace.

The Susan Hill School of Dancing was established in 1982. Our dance school and studio is based in Radstock, seven miles south of Bath. We offer classes for Students in Pre School Music and Movement, Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre, Freestyle Disco Jazz and Street Jazz. I am a childbirth educator, doula (non clinical birth attendant), and belly dance teacher.
I believe there are strong links between belly dance and birth, and that dancing during pregnancy can help strengthen the muscles of the abdomen and pelvis, and help prepare a woman for pregnancy and birth. Many of the dance moves mimic those that a woman will instinctively make during labour and birth, and practising them beforehand in a dance form will help familiarise the woman with the movements she will make giving birth to her child.
