Hello. I am a qualified teacher. I used to teach Business Studies and Economics but have been working on my own for 5 years, singing in pubs and festvals and teaching guitar/bass. I work at our home address in Belper, near Derby, so you'ld have to come here. I use the Rockschool series of books for both bass and guitar and encourage students to read music too.
In my acoustic band I usually play the banjo or mandolin, so can teach those as well.

I have been playing music for 15 years, playing a wide variety of styles and genres. I started off playing Classical guitar under Geoff Pratley, achieving Grade 8 with the Trinity College London exam board. Over the years I have expanded my musical repertoire by performing in bands playing electric guitar and also playing folk and blues in folk clubs throughout Sheffield.
I have also been playing Clawhammer banjo for the last 5 years, performing again in folk clubs throughout Sheffield and also playing all over Great Britain with my group Maia.
