Who am I?. My name is Paul Moxon and I am a cello graduate from the Royal College of Music in London. . .

My qualifications?. A GRSM and ARCM at college followed by many years experience as a teacher of both children and adults of all abilities. (My current pupils range in age from 8 to 62 years old). I am an experienced brass teacher based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, teaching pupils of all ages and from begineer to diploma standard. I currently teach brass for Sheffield Music Service, so I have an enhanced CRB check. I teach in schools across Sheffield, and travel to pupils homes for private tuition, covering Yorkshire and Derbyshire. I usually work from the ABRSM syllabus or specific college requirements, however, pupils are under no obligation to take exams and some of my students are learning purely for pleasure or to develop particular techniques.

I’m a Macclesfield based music tutor, specialising in beginner and intermediate guitar lessons. I have a degree in Music Production from Leeds College of Music, so I’m really keen to get students involved in recording themselves in my home studio. I find this is a great way to measure progress and get students to analyse their playing.

I teach guitar in the rock and pop genres, and I encourage students to embrace wider aspects of musicianship such as music theory, studio recording techniques, and songwriting.
