Clarinet and Saxophone lessons |

With younger musicians I recognise that to keep the interest in music going it has to be made fun and their imagination needs to be captured. I try to incorporate a whole range of games that are musically beneficial and help to build a solid basic technique while at the same time making the experience memorable and enjoyable. I hope that this eventually turns practice in to something that the student wants to do rather than being a constant chore! For more mature players I try to relate my lessons to everyday life so that the complexities of music open up in an approachable way.

Clarinet tuition for anyone any ability |

We will always begin with warm ups that vary based on ability and age but often involve the student and teacher role reversing!

In a lesson we will cover technical aspects such as articulation and sound production as well as always making the time to talk about the music and developing general musicianship skills.

All lessons will follow short, medium and long term goals that I will discuss with each student and the student will help to decide what these goals will be.
