I started my FEI HOK PHAI - HUNG GAR training in 1985 at Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) with "Sifu" Valdemir Machado.

FEI HOK PHAI (kung fu & tai chi chuan) is a southern style of Chinese martial art, a Hung Gar branch, created in Brazil (Sao Paulo 60') by the Chinese immigrant Chiu Ping Lok (“Grand Master Lope”, 1938 – 2009).

I received my FEI HOK PHAI - HUNG GAR 1st Degree Black Sash ("Si Tai") in 1990 and my 2nd Degree Black Sash ("Si Hing") in 2008.

I have a PhD in Cultural Anthropology and a Master Degree in Sociology.
