I'm Frank van der Ploeg a drummer from the Netherlands.

After 2 years of gigging, touring, recording an album with Alt Senior (Beijing-based Chinese rock band) and finishing his songwritting project "Unlived Dejavu,"I came down to London to study drums at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance joining the degree. Recently I've been playing with my new band XINXIN and several other projects.

As a teacher, I'm specialized in all rock styles and have skills in Blues, Jazz, Latin, Funk, and basic Percussion.

I play a number of styles including folk, bluegrass, gypsy jazz, old time/appalachian and Brazilian choro.

I generally recommend an initial one hour friendly consultative lesson. This gives me and you a chance to make a needs assessment and make a plan for the following lessons. Each pupil is unique. I encourage pupils to have agreed goals which they practice to achieve. This results in pupils having lessons only when they need, e.g. sometimes not necessarily weekly. I want pupils to progress and only wish to have pupils who are motivated to improve through practice.
