At Mel Corrigan's Kali Group, we teach a range of martial arts to suit you.
We have classes that cater for beginners, intermediate and experienced martial artists.
Train with like minded people in the evening classes or train 1-to-1 with Mel Corrigan, the senior instructor at the club.
We specialise in the following martial arts: Jeet Kune Do (JKD), Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW), Muay Thai (Thai Boxing), Kali and Panantukan. We also hold Kickbox Aerobics and Kettlebell Blast classes.

Perhaps taking the ideas of yin and yang to the extreme, I teach both the seemingly gentle Chinese art of Tai Chi and the hard hitting Thai art of Muay Thai or Thai Boxing.

The Chen style Tai Chi classes, (Sundays 10:30-11:30) are mainly for health but I never loose sight of the fact that Tai Chi is a martial art and many of the applications of the movements within the forms will be explained and demonstrated. We practice Chi Gung (Qigong) exercises, the 18 short form, sabre form and push hands. Minimum age, 16 years old.

My interest in martial arts and particularly Bruce Lee started at a young age. I was lucky enough to be born during a time when martial arts were at their hayday with the immergance of Bruce Lee and the Hong Kong/American cinema partnerships. From 5 or 6 years old I enjoyed watching pirated Bruce Lee films such as Big Boss and Way of the Dragon that my grandparents bought back from various holidays abroad.
