Alice is an extremely enthusiastic and accomplished recorder player, ATCL DipABRSM, skilled on numerous other instruments including pianoforte Grade 8 and double bass Grade 7, available for teaching recorder any age group Grades 1-8 or above. She is also available for teaching the pianoforte and double bass up to an intermediate level, and music theory, history or aural to an advanced standard.
Alice has previously taught for one year at Woodbridge School and is an active member of a local recorder orchestra, who perform publicly annually. She is also interested in taking workshops and leading public performances, indeed having been involved in numerous concerts internationally, as a soloist, an ensemble member and as an event organiser and tutor.
She also owns a soprano, alto and bass crumhorn and a tenor cornamuse and am always expanding my collection, particularly of authenically made early musical instruments, and would be very interested in setting up a Mediaeval group.
Also as an accomplished double bass player who was in the NCO and has since gone on to be involved in many paid events up and down the country, she also plays electric bass guitar to a high level and has had previous experience of being in various types of band, such as concert bands, swing bands and rock bands.
She would also be willing to take elementary piano pupils of all ages, or to work as a double bass player in an ensemble or orchestra.
Alice is willing to travel anywhere in Suffolk or elsewhere, if cost is covered.
A consultation may be arranged on any topic that Alice covers, and this would be free of charge.
