She has performed with many major European orchestras, including the National Opera in Warsaw and Scottish Opera. Alina was honored to play at Scottish and European Parliaments, at the Queen’s 80th-birthday celebrations at Balmoral Castle and at the King of Thailand’s birthday celebrations in Bangkok. She has released a solo album “Harp Recital” that is believed to be the first pedal harp CD made in Scotland.
Alina is a harp tutor at Loretto School in Musselbough, Cargilfield School and Edinburgh University. She also gives private lessons and workshops on both pedal harp and Clarsach.
What can you learn at Alina’s individual lessons and workshops?
Alina offers a variety of educational experiences suitable for music schools, harp organizations, conferences or festivals. The workshops and seminars can be tailored to the proficiency level of the participants. Workshops and seminars can be a single class or a series of two to five, with separate classes for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. A series of workshops offers students more instruction and guidance to develop their own unique arrangements of individual melodies.

THE SMALL PRINT
Arranging your lessons:
To make our work more progressive and enjoyable please schedule all your lessons and master classes for the first half of the term at your first lesson. Second half of the term has to be arranged at the beginning of mid-term. Please note that both student and teacher are responsible for informing each other about changes to lesson times. Lessons can be rescheduled according to your individual circumstances but there will be no refund if you fail to turn up for your lesson.
Payments:
Payment for lessons should be made by cheque or cash in the begging of the term for the first half of the lessons and the second payment should be made in the middle of the term.
All individual lessons are 1 hour long and there is a change of £25 per lesson.
There is a charge of £10 per Master Class which can be paid by cash on the day of the master class.
How to prepare for your lessons:
All students are expected to practise between lessons. I usually expect students to learn two new pieces per term and perform them at the master class. This method of preparation will encourage students to work regularly and enjoy their playing and performing.
