Arielle Feinman

Arielle has a BFA in vocal performance from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. She has also studied the Bel Canto singing technique (explanation in lesson details) with world-renowned opera master Judy Hages. Since beginning her studies at an early age,, she has developed a range of over three octaves and has become highly skilled in vocal arts.

Currently, Arielle is in the process of recording a new album and performing with her band throughout New York City and her hometown area of Rockland County. She is also a member of the Everywhere band, a new project that explores popular music through a jazz lens. In this setting, she takes the role of vocalist to a new level. She is also a knowledgeable source for music theory, composition, ear training, arranging, chart writing, basic piano, and vocal improvisation.

Although majoring in jazz, she has been involved with many different genres of music including classical/opera, musical theatre (8 years performance experience), pop, R+B, religious/gospel, and virtually all other styles.

ABOUT LESSONS:
In lessons, there will be a strong emphasis on learning the Bel Canto technique, in order to help students learn to care for their voice and grow vocally as they age.

The Art of Bel Canto is defined as the Italian technique, translating to "beautiful singing," where the singer passes rapidly from one pure, clean, and stationary vowel to another, with light crisp consonants.

This technique can be taught through any genre of music and is extremely helpful in the following areas:
breath and support
vocal health
matching tone from top to bottom
bright placement

Having studied for many years, Arielle is a master in diagnostics, and can instantly tell you how to improve any vocal problem!

Students will be able to improve the quality of their voice, increase vocal range, obtain breath control, and sing with strength and consistency.

All ages are welcome!

Aside from this technique, lessons will be tailored to the student's individual goals.
