I am a student at the Royal College of Music, under the guidance of Melissa Phelps.

Experienced with teaching (children and adults) and following the Rcm teaching course.

Biographie

Axelle Porret began playing the cello at the Conservatory of Reims (France) at the age of 7 later studying with Marc-Didier Thirault in Reims, Yvan Chiffoleau in Perpignan and Hélène Dautry in Paris and Alexander Chaushian, received first prize in both cello and chamber music at Reims and Perpignan Conservatoires.

She participated in the summer academies of Prades and Courchevel, also playing in numerous masterclasses (Gary Hoffman, Johanes Goritzki, Natalie Klein, Hortense Cartier-Bresson) and performing with orchestras in Paris and Cannes and at The Royal College of Music conducted by Bernard Haitink, John Wilson,Nicholas Collon, Martin Andre,also in many chamber music festivals throughout France. Since September, Axelle is involved in the English National Opera Scheme, and works professionally with the orchestra conducted by Ed Gardned. She also played for Eugene Onegin production at the Coliseum.
Since 2010 she is playing in a piano trio, Trio Orion, and took part as the Piano Trio day in Coventry. Recently they were given a Bursary by the Aspinwall Educational Trust to receive coaching from Michael Bochmann, they also participated to the Burford Festival in November 2011.

Axelle is currently studying at Royal College of Music with Melissa Phelps and plays a 1985 Pierre Causse cello, generously lent by the Fond Instrumental Français.
