My name is Beatriz García Gálvez. I am 28 years old and I was born in Granada, a city in the South of Spain. I have a Degree in Teaching (equivalent to PGCE) from the University of Granada. I am applying to be Spanish teacher with great interest.
I would like to join your association in order to obtain practical employment related to scholarly learning and teaching regarding to the disabilities in learning environments, coaching and advising young people, adult education, life-long education, teaching with educational difficulties, and all sorts of other social problems including languages as well. These were all areas that were part of my training during my degree and I am sure it would be a very enriching experience for me, both personally and professionally.
Regarding my professional skills, I am an enthusiastic learner and prepared to apply all my knowledge, effort and interest to take part in an educational project. With experience in volunteering initiatives, participating in the work atmosphere, and the learner development, and promoting a safe environment, I feel I am a great team-player with very good communication skills. I am also a cheerful and open-minded character.
In my spare time, my hobbies are reading all kind of books, listening classical and modern music, either on the radio or live. I am interested in sports, travelling around the world and I also love visiting cities where I have never been. I find it all very exciting to me since from 2005-2006 I was living in Lisbon thanks to an Erasmus Scholarship and there I was able to learn other languages such as Portuguese and even English. I learnt that to live in a different city whilst working and studying, it is possible to have a great life experience and take on work responsibilities and duties at the same time. This is precisely what I am looking for, to begin getting more professional experience in Spanish teaching in order to obtain an interesting and useful role in the Newcastle Community.
