Hi, I've been working with web-based software for 12 years.

A few years ago I decided to teach myself some basic PHP/MySQL and was really frustrated by the lack of helpful materials. Pretty much every book I tried or tutorial I found online assumed a breadth of basic computer-science education that I lacked.

After a frustrating couple of months (and plenty of help from some of my more-patient developer friends), I finally managed to figure out the basics and have since learned quite a bit.

I'd love to teach a class where non-technical people can learn the basics that you need in order to start playing around with PHP/MySQL.

If a few people express interest, I'll put together a class!
