Christian Riches
I'm educated to degree level (BSc) but during my time at university I became entirely disillusioned with the chemical industry.
I'm into the ancient art of making stuff out of everyday materials - e.g. I'm currently in the midst of making ink from rust and other natural ingredients. I have diverse interests but find the universe quite fascinating and always strive towards developing a unified outlook on life.
I work on the basis that many 'chemicals' are unnecessarily dangerous and therefore best avoided. It's amazing what you can achieve with vinegar and baking soda...
I will help anybody understand more about everyday materials from an (initially) chemistry/physical science perspective but prefer then to link it on to things such as symbology and the social and environmental implications of the presence of any particular object or substance we may encounter.
I love questions I can't immediately answer! Send me your unanswered questions and I'll see what I can do...
Besides all that, I do things with sound and light for a circus/performance co-operative.
