I am a practicing, self taught artist and qualified tutor with a wealth of experience in running art classes and creative workshops.

My students range from complete beginners through to intermediate 'dabblers' with scope to accomodate more experienced artists and to run tutored and un-tutored life drawing workshops.
I also tutor A level art students and can offer portfolio preparation workshops which can help gain entry to higher level studies.

To ensure everyone recieves a positive learning experience, I try to limit my groups to no more than 12 people per class, giving as much one to one support as possible.

Experience

Artist and Art tutor

I began my teaching career with a successful pilot scheme I set up and ran in 2007, teaching drawing and painting techniques to total beginners. The scheme comprised 3 consequtive 10 week courses and culminated in a successful Private View exhibition.

I have always painted and created my own art and feel I have a strong skill base which I have successfully passed on to others who are interested in learning.

Alongside my artistic and teaching endeavours, I am also an Arts Technician working within a secondary school and currently teach an Art Enrichment programme to Post-16 students.

I also hold a City & Guilds qualification in teaching within the Lifelong Learning Sector.

Aimed at: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

THE SMALL PRINT

Classes are run with a minimum of 8 participants. Courses usually run for 10 weeks and cost around £150.00 which includes, venue hire, tuition and basic materials. Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable without adequate prior notice of non-attendance. Participants are required to complete and sign a booking form which sets out the full terms of conditions of the course.

Workshops are usually over 1 or 2 days and have a different fee structure depending on the activity and venue. Please contact me for further details.
