MORE ON FEES:
I do not charge travel expenses - and I never charge extra if my lessons run over time (many people do!). I strongly believe in what I do for it's own sake; my pupils' needs come first.
FIRST STEPS:
For children, I give the first lesson free: this is to establish whether a rapport can be built up over time, and to gauge exactly what the child's musical potential is and for me to decide what the best plan of action would be in terms of which tutor books or other methods would be most suitable - among other things. Following the lesson I normally chat with the parents/guardians about what my thoughts and feelings are before scheduling the first paid lesson, advising them on which books to buy and so forth.
TEACHING LOCATION:
Most of my teaching takes place in Wimbledon and the surrounding areas, only because the bulk of enquiries I've received have been from people in this area. However, I am happy to travel anywhere within London and to certain destinations in North Surrey (such as Carshalton, Epsom, Dorking and nearby).
TIMES I AM AVAILABLE TO TEACH:
Any time, with the exception of Monday evenings and Saturdays. Currently I am very flexible with my schedule but do encourage a regular slot for each pupil as far as possible.
