I originally did my degree in Fine Art - Sculpture. This was later followed with a 2 year part-time course in embroidery and working design.

Having always worked in very fine detailed figurative work I have moved towards felt-making in recent years, where, although the wool tops are laid and built up in a painterly fashion, through the very nature of its creation a degree of control is taken away.

My current pieces continue my development in creating a narrative in a more abstract way. Although the imagery can be 'read', a more emotive tale evolves through the simplified and stylised visualisation.

I wish to create harmony through luminosity, richness and depth and I constantly strive to attain this.

At present I feel that I have hardly scratched the surface.
