I teach the Hua Gong style of Qigong developed by Zhixing Wang. I began training with Zhixing in 1991 and continue to do so. I have taught this style for about fourteen years. Most of my work is in the southwest of England but I occasionally travel further afield to Europe, the US and, more recently, New Zealand. My regular classes are either daylong on a monthly basis (Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Frome) or weekly evening classes (Totnes). I also run occasional retreats, holidays and summer camps.
The Hua Gong style of Qigong is a way of directly experiencing and opening to the subtle energy known as Qi in oriental medicine. It connects us more deeply to the natural flow of energy around us and to the source of our aliveness. Benefits may include increased vitality and mobility, enhanced clarity of perception, the development of inner stillness, the clearing of chronic illness and, most of all, a deeper enjoyment of being alive. Qigong is simple to learn yet challenges each person to their own limit. No special ability is required and the classes are open to all.
