Originally qualified as an instructor in Ipoh,Malaysia in 1972 by the Ching Woo Association. Further qualified in Hong Kong in 1982 by the Woo Shing Academy. Made UK representatives of the original Wu Chian Chuan Association, Shanghai, China in 1988. Became 'Indoor Student' to Ma Jiang Bao in 2001.

1991-1996 Compared effects of aerobic exercise and Tai Chi four weeks post heart attack.
2003-2003 Studied effects of Tai Chi in patients with balance disorders.
2005-2007 Studied effects of Tai Chi and Chi Kung training in patients with stages II-III heart failure.
