Deborah Griffiths

I was born in London and have had a varied career, spending a lot of my earlier working life at the GLC/ILEA doing admin and computing. Since I've had my 2 children, who are at university now, I've helped at schools with reading and other duties as needed. As I enjoy helping people to learn, I decided to do a tutor's diploma in Word Processing and after I did the TESOL course. I've taught a number of foreign students and also teach basic Spanish. I also work part-time in a 'Before and After School Club' with children aged between 5 and 8 years, which is very rewarding, and occasionally I work in a creche looking after babies and younger children.

Throughout my life I've come in contact with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds, either as friends or at work, and I find it very interesting exchanging information about our different ways of life, which is why I particularly enjoy teaching English to foreign students from different countries.
