With a long history of dance, weight training and bodybuilding, I took up hooping while taking a break from weight training and it has gradually taken over my life! Trained to teach hooping with Hoopgirl in LA in November 2006, and began teaching hoop classes in February 2007. Since then have trained to Level 3 with Hoopgirl and Level 1 with Bodyhoops and the process continues!
Since 2008 I have been teaching hooping for Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service, the Redbridge Healthy Lifestyles Programme and Redbridge CVS. During the Summer of 2008, I taught hooping at City Lit in Covent Garden and will be teaching another course there next year. In addition, I run my own classes and a once-a-month hoop club in north London. Have been CRB checked by Herts and Redbridge Councils.
Always looking for new venues for classes and new ways to show people that exercise can be joyful, empowering and all encompassing, rather than simply a matter of reps and sets.

Experience
Hoop teacher information
After taking my first hoop teacher training with Christabel Zamor in November 2006, I began teaching in January 2007. After running several courses at one venue, I began to increase the number of classes and to teach at other venues. I took the Level 2 training in August 2009 and in February 2009 I travelled to San Francisco and took the inspirational Level 3 Hoopgirl teacher training.
In addition to my own classes, I work with several local authorities as part of their Wider Family Learning and Healthy Lifestyles initiatives, using hooping as a way to encourage people to become more active in a fun, enjoyable way.
On the first Sunday of each month, I run a "Hoop Club" as a community event in north London. There are also workshops and other events. All of which offer a range of hoop options to everyone from the novice hooper to the experienced hoopdancer who wants a challenge!
