Dorothy Massey
I am a freelance writer of children's fiction and educational materials with many years experience of teaching English, Literacy and Creative Writing. My teaching experience extends to a range of forms of literacy including English as a Second Language, Family Learning and Students with Special Educational Needs. I have worked in a range of settings including schools, community venues, colleges and military establishments as well as in student's own homes. I have full CRB check, references and professional credentials. I'm happy to work with children in all Key Stages of their development through primary and secondary education. I'm also happy to work with adults wishing to imporove their English for education, life or employment.
Some of my short stories for children have been published in the UK and USA while others have won competions, including the Nestle Munch Bunch Competition. I am also the author of Speaking English, published by Studymates, and two packs of poetry resources for Zig Zag Educational resources.
I love writing and reading and encouraging others to read and write for pleasure, study or work.
