Having 10 years experience of sewing, I teach complete beginners to intermediate level. Topics covered include sewing machine basics, pattern marking, cutting, stitching using a machine and hand stitching, and more depending on students' interest and prior knowledge (if any). Courses are mainly during the evening and daytime. Weekend tuition can be arranged. Part-day and 5- week courses available.

Intermediate Dressmaking Course
For those of you who have successfully completed my five-week beginners course, congratulations! and this course is for you! You might also be interested in my intermediate course if you have had some previous experience of dressmaking.
In this five-week intermediate dressmaking course I will help you to make a jacket or a blouse. This is a slightly more challenging pattern than in the beginners course and you will be attempting things such as patten alterations, setting-in sleeves.

£145 Beginners Dressmaking
You may have received a sewing machine as a present, in which case this course is ideal for you! Or you may just want to have a go at learning a really useful skill. If so, this five-week beginners course is just right for you.
In small class sizes of no more than 8 students I will take you through the steps to making a lovely skirt. You will be using a sewing machine, or you are welcome to bring your own. We will be cutting out the fabric and marking it, and then I will teach you how to do basic techniques such as darts, pleats, zipper insertion, waistbands and working with interfacing.
Classes are relaxed and friendly, so do give it a try, don't be scared!
