Emma Nicholson
I am a 23 year old postgraduate, having completed my MA in Ancient History (Classics Department) at Royal Holloway University of London (2009). I completed my BA in the same subject the year before, achieving a First Class degree with an award for overall achievement.
I completed four A levels (Biology A, Classical Civilisation A, English Literature & Language B and History A, one AS (Chemistry B) and an Advanced Extension Award in History (AEA) at Farnborough 6th Form College. Before that, I went to Queen Anne's School in Caversham completing ten GCSEs and one short course (religious studies). In my younger years, I lived in Taiwan, my father having worked there, before returning to the UK in 2000. We lived in a British and American expatriate community and I went to school at the Taipei American School.
I am passionate about learning and education, especially in the areas of Classics, History and English as a second language; it is a joy to be able to impart the same pleasure of these subjects on others and see a students progression and development.

THE SMALL PRINT
DEPOSITS
All sessions will require a deposit, usually half the cost of a one hour lesson (this depends on the level of tuition required). This can be paid at the time of arranging each appointment. The remaining cost most be paid at the start of each session.
REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
A refund of the deposit will only be available if the tutee cancels the lesson at least three days before for the scheduled date or if the tutor is unable to attend.
TRIAL SESSIONS
A trial initial session is available for half the cost of the regular price of a one hour lesson (this depends on the level of tuition required).
