Fiona Hutchins
Fiona Hutchins won a scholarship to attend the Guildhall School of Music at the age of 16, graduating with Honours in Performance and returned there to teach in 1999, where she currently takes the string training programme.
Fiona is well known on the Norfolk classical music scene as a former leader of the Norfolk Youth Orchestra, the Norwich Pops Orchestra, Norwich Philharmonic and current leader of the Mozart Orchestra.
She is also a licensed practitioner of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), which has heightened her understanding of her pupils’ needs, and provides another string to her bow as a music teacher.
Teaching is a real pleasure for her - she values dynamic and progressive teaching methods, encouraging pupils to play with confidence and imagination. She is particularly keen to encourage mature students interested in returning to practice.
Based in the Golden Triangle area of Norwich, Fiona enjoys teaching pupils of all ages and abilities. She is also experienced at organising and performing for weddings and events, arranging programmes as a soloist, or part of a duet, trio or quartet depending on the requirements of the occasion; she is skilled at planning the ideal repertoire for any function.
