Freaks In The Peaks

Freaks is a co-operative organisation dedicated to the accessibility of traditional English border morris dancing. We exist specifically to be open to all, regardless of previous experience or ability. Freaks is a great way to check out morris dancing in a low-commitment, low-pressure, easy-going environment where you can learn to dance (or play the tunes) among friendly, colourful people who do it because it's fun.

Freaks events are run 4 times per year over a weekend, at different villages in the Peak District (or occasionally somewhere else) and include indoor camping in a village hall or similar, often a communally prepared meal, evening pub sessions, a dance teaching workshop, a bit of countryside walking and or course public performances of morris dancing.
