MS I C HINE
communication & philosophy tutor
A qualified secondary school teacher (GCSE Religious Studies, AS & A2 Philosophy of Religion, Religious Ethics), in previous incarnations I've been paid to write intelligent web content, and for editing and proof-reading academic publications. I enjoy helping people structure and express their own ideas well on paper. Maybe I can help you?
I also enjoy getting to grips with other languages, so while not an expert linguist, will happily help someone else through the initial stages of anything from Biblical Hebrew to modern Hindi (if I can).
For writing, I can deal by email (i.e. with samples of your written work), or face-to-face (if geography permits). One-off sessions or ongoing progress review possible. Languages ad hoc.

Private Teaching
Writing skills
One-off session or a series to improve written communication skills. N.B. This is not an essay-writing service. I will provide advice on specific pieces of writing where appropriate, but the focus is on helping people to develop their own writing style.
Philosophy of Religion & Ethics
Teaching A-level has required me to review much of what I learned at degree level. I would be happy to provide supplementary tuition for AS/A2 and/or informal teaching and discussion for those not aiming for a specific qualification.
Basic conversational Hindi
I speak a little Hindi, and found it very useful when travelling around India (especially north India) on my own. Would be happy to share this knowledge with others...
