Jamie Muffett
I have been teaching for over 6 years. I have taught mainly one to one privately but have taught in small groups, large day workshops and in schools.
I have a specific ethos of teaching what I think will deliver the best results for each pupil. While I am strict with employing correct technique at all times, the student is allowed to develop drumming in a direction appropriate to them, based on their goals - long term and short term - and the kind of music that they like.
Playing drums is an incredibly rewarding instrument and from the very first lesson you can get very satisfying results. If you would like to study the instrument in depth, or if you just want to sit down, rock out and relieve some stress, you can with drums.
For those of you that will have lessons in the studio in Chichester: I play guitar and a significant part of most of the lessons will involve jamming the work we have done in the lesson. This is both fun and helps to give context to the exercises we have done. It is also valuable experience as jamming and playing with other musicians is something drummers are always required to do. Timing, structure, musical interaction, improvisation and confidence all benefit from jamming.
For those who have lessons elsewhere I will endeavour to jam with you whenever possible.

THE SMALL PRINT
I have a simple cancellation policy. I require only 24 hours notice for a cancelled lesson, otherwise the student will be charged the full price of the lesson if less or no notice is given.
