Jasmin Bahia
I have devoted many years to physical and mental fitness; maintaining a keen interest in sports, I was a qualified aerobics teacher. I participated in various sports over the years, such as hockey, running, kung fu and chi gong, which have brought me to the wonderful path of yoga (1997).
I became hooked and drawn to the peace, focus and energy that yoga brought to my life. I attended many classes and various retreats before studying an intensive yoga course. I travelled to the Himalayas, training under The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, and became a teacher of Yoga. I am also a qualified and registered British Wheel of Yoga Teacher and a fully qualified Yoga pregnancy teacher.
I have taught numerous types of hatha yoga classes, focusing on suppleness to strength, mind and body awareness, and relaxation techniques, to working with physical ailments and stress-reduction. I offer a mixture of yoga applications to aid with physical, emotional, psychological and stress issues. I have worked within various settings, both with children, adults and older people, offering (private) 1 to 1 and group (public and corporate) classes.
I am a chartered Psychologist and also practice Zen, I do my best to bring along mindfulness and openness to my teachings. Please feel free to contact me if you have further queries. I look forward to hearing from you. Metta Jasmin
