A Taste of Tango: In-Tango Workshop
Learn to dance the world's most sensual dance in a workshop. OK, so you won't learn everything, but enough to be able to get around a dance floor (so pay attention).
Jenney has developed an introduction to Tango that is fun and relaxed enough to build your confidence and get you dancing. After all that's why you're here. It's not Strictly Come Dancing so leave the feather boa at home, wear comfortable clothes, leather soled shoes and bring lots of energy.
What does the workshop involve?
This covers basic technique, walking, a little turning and a basic sequence. You will be working individually and in couples.
Do I have to bring a partner ?
It does make things easier if you come in a pair (girl and girl or boy with boy is fine) you can come alone or with a party of 15 (but in the case of the latter please let us know so we can order extra sarnies).
What to wear:
Comfortable clothes and leather soled shoes (something you can slide & pivot in), ladies need something with a heel and a strap across the ankle. Pointed shoes don't really help and neither do flip flops (and in this weather you should know better).
Have more questions? See if they're answered in our FAQs page.
Cost:
£45 per person, refreshments will be provided at the break

A Taste of Tango: Elementary course
Follow on from the workshop and join a Elementary course. In six weeks you will learn and improve on basic movements, sequences and work on technique.
What does the Elementary course cover?
The embrace, the connection, basic floorcraft & musicality, walking, the cross, ochos and giros. We finish off with a revision class working on how we can put it all together. This is a repeating course.
I haven't done the workshop can I join the elementary course?
There is a reason for asking people to do the workshop, think of it as building a house. The workshop is the very beginning, the elementary course is laying the foundations, beginner's is building the house, intermediate is decorating the interior. So ask yourself this, do you want to live in a badly built house? Register for the beginner's workshop here.
I just want to try one class.
If you want to try Tango then go for the beginner's workshop, it's put together as an introduction to Tango plus you get sarnies and a nice cup of tea.
High Heeled Divas: A Women's Technique Class
The idea of slipping on a fabulous pair of heels makes every girl feel sexy. But images of famous teeterers and falls (think Carrie in SATC and Naomi on the catwalk for Vivienne Westwood) can make us think twice about stacking it up.
This is where High Heeled Divas a new class at Pineapple Dance Studios will solve your balance dilmemmas. Developed by Jenney Surelia, Pineapple's Tango teacher, she uses exercises and techniques from the worlds most sensual dance to improve posture and movement in heels. Another excuse to grab your Manolos and get to the class.
What shoes to bring.
Start low and work your way up.
Non-pointy shoes or sandals with an ankle strap
