EcoLabs at Local Economy Day

What roles can design play in community economics? How can we use the skills in design to respond to systemic economic challenges in building sustainability into our communities?

Design can:
• Help organize systems / networks
• Create brand development for these networks
• Make the effects of actions visible / tangible
• Build cohesion, focus and communicate new agendas
• Help audiences visualise and understand economic systems and their individual involvement in them
• Communicate & raise awareness with different audiences e.g. local businesses, general public, community groups

This workshop will attempt to give symbolic form to the themes / ideas of the Transition Town Brixton Local Economy conference.
