JONATHAN COPE
Didgeridoo / Throat singing / Jaw Harps teacher
Author of the best-selling series ‘How to Play the Didgeridoo’ (available in book and CD and now DVD formats) Jonathan Cope has played didgeridoo for over fifteen years, both solo and with other musicians.
A lifetime fascination with rare and unusual sounds has also led Jonathan to seek many vocal techniques and instruments that can be used to soothe body, mind, and soul. Scientific studies have confirmed the many benefits of music and sound, particularly their ability to combat stress and allow the body to self-regulate and heal itself. Having studied for many years with leading exponents in these varied techniques Jonathan now also offers tuition and workshops in various styles of Mongolian / Tuvan 'Khoomei' throat or overtone singing, chant, mantras, and the use of jews harps, Tibetan prayer bowls, crystal bowls, frame drums, fujara, bells, gongs, chimes, amongst others.
