Learning an instrument provides students with an important life skill and helps to build confidence. I provide tuition in Electric and Acoustic guitar for all contemporary styles including Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, Folk, Funk, Soul, Reggae, Latin & Fingerstyle. In addition to a wide range of standard and grade repertoire, students learn to improvise, helping to promote creativity and make lessons fun. Students are also encouraged to develop academically by learning Music Theory, Sight Reading and Aural Skills.

• BMus (PMP) hons and Performance Diploma from London’s Guitar Institute
• Experienced session musician working with a number of high profile artists
• 8 years experience teaching music in secondary schools
• Currently Head of Music Technology at a successful Herts Secondary School
• Member of the Musicians’ Union and the Registry of Guitar Tutors
• Enhanced Level CRB Disclosure (Police Check)

Teaching Studio

• Lessons are delivered from a fully equipped teaching studio in Redbourn, Herts
• Easily accessible to students from St Albans, Hemel Hempstead and Harpenden

Individual Tuition

• Available to students of all levels and all ages from 7 years upwards
• Students assessed and receive a written progress report 3 times per year
• Electric/Acoustic Grade Exams taught to Diploma Level (Rockschool and RGT)
• 100% student exam success rate with 80% passing with merit or distinction
