Since I can remember I have always loved Movement...this led me to train as a gymnast and then a PE Teacher. I worked in the Secondary School System for many years..and always taught fitness to Adults in the evenings..(Aerobics ,Aquarobics, Circuits & Weight training etc)
My path eventually led me to Yoga and since qualifying as a teacher have introduced Yoga to the curriculum in Primary & Secondary schools and taught in Health Centres.
In 2007 I left mainstream Education and set up my own Private studio - BIRCH TREE YOGA...offering classes in a tranquil purpose built studio.
My classes are dynamic but comprehensive with care to alignment and integral pranayama (breathwork). Strength, Balance and Co-ordination are improved through the physical poses (Asanas) and thus develop the ability to relax ,improving the Mind.
