My name is Katherine Prado and I am a trained opera singer and singing teacher based in North London. I studied music at the University of Chile, University of North Texas in USA and The Guildhall in London. I joined the school choir when I was 8 years old and since then I have not stopped singing and enjoying the benefits of music!
I have sang in many different bands, I’ve done music and sang for Cafe del Mar-Miami, I have toured Europe and Asia with different bands such us Latin Dub and A Mountain of One. I have sang at Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Koko in Camden London, Bloomsbury Hall London, 02 Academy in Bristol, Liverpool and most of the UK. Last year I performed with my band Katy Prado & The Mamboleros at the great festivals such us Vintage Festival in Southbank and West Dean festival in Somerset.
I have also writing and sang music for films such us Isle of Dogs. I have TV adverts such as Budweiser and ads in Spanish and English for Televisa in South America. I sing in Italian,German, French, Spanish and English. I have recently been singing at Mark Ronson’s new bar The Arts Club in Mayfair. On the opening night last October I shared the stage with Paloma Faith and Ronnie Wood from Rolling Stones. This year will be performing for the Olympics at main stages in Pleasure Gardens east London for the Olympics with recent song London Boys. Also will be in Bestival and many other shows in London and Europe.
