Laura Bailie

I am an experienced and dedicated specialist flute teacher, with over 20 years experience of working in schools,my own private teaching practice and education projects. I work with students of all ages and abilities and I believe in having a fun and relaxed approach to learning. Whilst some students prefer to learn for fun, I am equally happy to prepare students for ABRSM and school exams and University or Music College entrance auditions. I have a 100% pass rate for students presented for ABRSM and SQA exams. Ultimately, I believe that music can enhance a person's self-confidence and I encourage my students to develop their own 'voice'.

I have performed with many orchestras including the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, RSNO, BBCSSO, Halle, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Paragon Ensemble. As a current and founder member of The Scottish Flute Trio, I have broadcast for Radio 3 and Radio Scotland and recorded for the Metier Label, Natural Studio Records and Seventhings.
