Having a Fashion Marketing degree, I progressed to working in a range of Design and Marketing roles prior to becoming a Teacher of Textile and Fashion Design.

Educational roles include:
Teacher of BTEC Textiles design, HND Textiles Design, HND Fashion Marketing, Secondary design teacher in Fashion and Textiles (GSCE D&T Textiels, GCE Art Textiles, GCE D&T Textiles, HEFC Textiles Design)

Design roles include:
Menswear Designer, Senior Gift Designer

Freelance work includes:
Deisgn and Marketingfor a range of businesses ranging from creating textiles Exhibition spaces, Visual merchandising and developing Marketing reports for Textiles and Fashion specific SME’s and educational establishments.

Craft Mafia is a craft collective that was founded in July 2009. Set up to create networking opportunities for creative craftspeople, we have a strong core membership with affiliated members that work together to develop creative awareness in the North East region as well as attend craft fairs and Craft events to generate support for our collective and individual business goals.

Made In Newcastle
As a supporting member of the Pop up shop, I provide Visual merchandising support as well as Internet marketing and promotion campaigns via social networking and Blogspot opportunities in order to raise the profile of this successful venture. The project received funding from the City Council to run a shop, gallery and workshop space until December 2010.
