Hi, I am Lorna Halstead, and I live in Melksham in Wiltshire.

I first discovered the Joy of Painting with Bob Ross, one night as my husband and I were flicking through the TV channels. By chance we happened to stumble upon this fuzzy haired American with a hypnotic voice. We sat and watched in amazement as he painted a fabulous picture in 30 minutes. I was then hooked, and Bob became a regular fixture in my evening viewing.

It was several years later when I actually decided to give it a go. I bought all the equipment and started to paint. It obviously took me longer than Bob’s 30 minutes, but the picture I produced was amazing.

I continued to paint using Bob’s technique, and finally decided that I wanted to learn how to teach and to share the experience with others.

So I trained and became a Certified Bob Ross instructor.

I am now holding Bob Ross Wet-on Wet painting workshops in Wiltshire, so if you have ever wanted to learn the Bob Ross technique in a small and friendly environment this is for you!

You do not have to have any previous painting and drawing experience or talent to produce some amazing results.

Better still, I will provide all the materials, including tea, coffee and biscuits, all you need to do is turn up, paint and have FUN.

I will take you step by step through a painting, and at the end of the day you will have created your own masterpiece (on a 16"x20" canvas), to take home.

I also provide demonstrations to groups and organisations, as well as paint and take taster sessions.

Bob Ross technique "Joy of Painting Weekend Leisure Breaks" 2012

Attending our weekend leisure breaks are the perfect way to experience the Bob Ross 'Joy Of Painting’.

Our Joy of Painting Leisure Breaks are designed for your enjoyment, each are held in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere across a range of the 21 stunning historical 3 & 4* Brook Hotels.

These breaks are suitable for all levels of painters from absolute beginner to advanced student.

You will be taught and assisted by me (Lorna) a Certified Bob Ross Instructor (CRI, CRFI) ensuring that you receive quality tuition from start to finish.

You can learn how to create dramatic landscapes and seascapes or the softness of beautiful flowers, and take home your masterpiece at the end of the break.
A One day/One night painting break from £135.00 per person

A Two day/Two nights Painting Break from £255 per person

These breaks will include an overnight stay (one or two nights) in a spacious and comfortable bedroom, breakfast and evening meal(s), plus one or two days Certified painting tuition, all painting materials and use of equipment.

1. Please make cheques or Postal Orders payable to “L.Halstead”.
for £47.50 or £20.00 for a deposit (£10.00 of which is non refundable), or to the value of the gift voucher required. Full payment should be made two weeks prior to the workshop date (s) that you are booking for.
2. Please complete the details below and return this form to me, with your cheque or Postal Order.
3. Sorry but I do not accept post-dated cheques.
4. Send it to me at 25 Magister Rd, Bowerhill, Melksham, Wilts, SN12 6FD.

When I have received your Booking Form and payment, I will contact you to confirm your booking.
WORKSHOP INFORMATION
All of the workshops will start promptly at 10:00am until 4:30pm (approx), with breaks for lunch and refreshments.
The cost of each workshop is £47.50 per person.
You will be provided with a canvas and ALL the materials that you need to complete your painting – including tea/coffee. You will only need to bring a packed lunch with you (or take advantage of the tasty local cafes), and a pen and paper for notes if you wish.
Please dress appropriately - although I provide plastic aprons, you could still get some paint on your clothes.
Each part of the painting is demonstrated before you paint: I ask you all to stand close around the easel at the front of the workshop whilst I do this, and it can take up to 5 minutes. If you have any standing, sight, or hearing disabilities, I can reserve a front row seat for you to minimise discomfort. Please let me know on your Booking Form.
Bookings are accepted on a first-come first-served basis, and the only bookings I can accept are those accompanied by Payment. I regret that I am unable to hold spaces through verbal or e-mail requests
CANCELLATIONS
In the event of a cancellation, please give me as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend a workshop that you have booked so that I can give someone else the chance to have your place.

Please telephone me on 01225 707822 or leave a message on my answer phone if you are unable to attend.

If more than 1 weeks notice is given, I will refund your booking fee less £10.00.

If less than 1 weeks notice is given, I will retain the booking fee cheque, and reschedule the date with you for a future workshops.

Where no contact is made, I am unable to refund any part of the booking fee or reschedule the date.
