Locos In Motion are a mixed (male & female) side of Border Morris dancers and musicians. We are named in honour of Stevenson's famous Locomotion no. 1 steam engine, being based in Darlington, home of the railways. Our attire is rag jackets of black and silver, representing the colours of the railways and we sport very tall black hats, trimmed with white feathers and various paraphenalia, to represent chimneys and smoke. We wield sticks of varying lengths and label ourselves "dancers with attitude" - no hankies in sight! We practise every Tuesday evening in Sadberge village hall and take part in various festivals and other events locally (including our very own Midsummer Morris at Sadberge) and further afield. See our website for more info.
