bring your own abilities and disabilities as wearing high heels, having a kid with a tummy ache or being hung over can help you to develop your own creative ways of being safe and joyful in the streets.
Jumping on bollards, talking to strangers, dancing at the bus stop - since i started asking people about their techniques for being joyful and safe in the city streets my enjoyment and engagement with my local area has sky- rocketed. I take people on Street Training sessions where we practice and exchange the little things we do to keep ourselves sane, make ourselves laugh and improve our experience and the quality of the public spaces we inhabit.

The Street Training session takes just over 2hrs explores the edge of the City of London, crosses Brick Lane and ends at Spitalfields City Farm. During the session you will learn such things as sliding down hand rails, walking with your eyes closed, guerrilla gardening and be supported in doing and improvising your own techniques for creative/antisocial behaviour. Children are especially welcome because they are often very creative users and shapers of urban public space.
After an initial consultation, sessions take place one to one or with a small team, sometimes at night and may include getting into derelict buildings, doing graffiti, scrumping, planting wild flower seeds, urban climbing and free styling on your personal kind of creative/antisocial behaviour. You can also sign up for random, spontaneous text message alerts telling you where to meet for Street Training.
sessions take place rain or shine. Take part at your own risk - be responsible for yourself and the others you train with. If you need to cancel and require a refund i need to receive email notification at least 24hrs in advance.
