Using a flexible, compassionate approach to teaching, Lou's aim is to help you discover a greater sense of equilibrium and improved health and wellbeing. Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice, which balances and rejuvenates the subtle energies, enabling profound healing benefits for the mind, body and soul.
A typical yoga class includes: time to become centred, using the breath and gentle stretches to release tension; a series of yoga postures designed to build strength, balance and flexibility in the body and mind; pranayama or yogic breathing techniques to help cleanse and balance the subtle energies; deep relaxation to take you back to the core of who you are, bringing a sense of inner peace.
As well as teaching public yoga classes for all abilities, Lou also teaches weekly sessions for Everton Football Club's First and Youth teams. Through working with a wide range of students including sports people, people with injuries and older people, Lou has developed her teaching to suit the specific needs of the group or individual she is working with.

The class will have a strong emphasis on mindfulness and will end with yoga nidra each week, a meditation technique which brings deep relaxation and is said to be the equivalent of 4 hours sleep.
Please bring a yoga mat, a blanket, two cushions and a yoga belt if you have one. I have some 2.5m yoga belts for sale for £8 if anyone would like to buy one.
