Personal Description:
Having recently graduated from university with a first class degree reading English, I am passionate about books and literature. I received 79% for my dissertation, where 80% is deemed worthy of academic publication and can provide a reference from my tutor to suppor this. I am a focused, determined, enthusiastic and willing individual with an aim to help students and adults enagage and understand literature and the issues surrounding it.

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored a number of individuals, from Key Stage 3 to Masters level, and in the summer of 2008, I spent nine weeks working with children and adults at a special needs camp in America. This experience was extremely rewarding and taught me the importance of patience and communication. I have recently returned from travelling where I taught at an underprivileged school in Cambodia.

Tutoring Approach:
Studying English Literature allows you to interpret a text in a number of different ways. Therefore my approach to tutoring will be tailored to the individual and their attitude and responsiveness to literature. I am patient and willing to explain things using a variety of different methods to ensure the student has a full understanding of the topic. I offer reading and writing tuition, essay help (planning and writing), alongside examination preparation.
