I'm an experienced tutor with a love of maths. My approach is based on ensuring a solid foundation of the basic skills combined with imparting an understanding of mathematical concepts. This means that students are equipped to make the most of their mathematical abilities in life as well as being able to perform in exams.

Where appropriate, exam papers will be practiced and exam technique improved.

It is also important that the student and I are working towards the same clear goal. This is typically: improvement in general mathematical ability; improving confidence with maths; boosting GCSE grade e.g D to C, A to A*; boosting AS or A2 grade.

The one to one approach enables me to tailor lessons to a student's capabilities and to adopt a teaching style that works for the individual, including making adaptations for ADHD.
