Tai Chi Chuan at Cork City
Tai Chi Chuan's training is especially known for its soft, flowing and slow movements. It is practiced for both its health benefits and defensive aspects. Tai Chi Chuan is considered to be an internal style of Chinese Martial Arts.
The training involves two primary features: the first being the forms - "KATI" -, slow sequence of movements which emphasize an upright spine, breathing and a natural range of motion; the second being pushing hands movements with a partner ("tui shou") which apply the principles of the forms.
