Crash Course singing/music theory
From Wednesday January 21st - February 25th a practical course in (choir) singing will start. This course is meant for people who would like to do more with their singing, but want to regain their momentum and for people who would like to improve their singing technique. The aim is to prepare people in a short period of time to have some practical singing experience/knowledge: in 6 lessons of 1 ½ hours you will be taught the basic principles. People already singing in a choir who would like to have a greater knowledge of vocalism are also welcome.
Some keywords are: use of voice, basic sight reading, singing in parts, position, breathing, basic music theory. If you would like to make more of your shower singing, if you would like to sing in a choir, or have vocal tuition but you want to regain your momentum: this is the course to start with!
The course will be given by qualified singer/choir director Marije Rommes on Wednesday evenings, January 21st- February 25th, 8pm-9:30pm, at Cecil Sharp House, 2 Regent's Park Road, NW1, nearest tube: Camden Town.
