I am a retired doctor and I teach meditation and mindfulness at York House Centre for Integrated and Complementary Medicine in Taunton, Somerset, together with Karen Atkinson, yoga teacher and therapist, who founded York House.

This workshop aims to provide an introduction to the key principles and practice of Mindfulness, offering a taster if you are wondering if mindfulness is for you.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course
MBSR is an acclaimed and well-researched programme that helps people reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress. Over 8 weeks, the group meets weekly for 2 hours, and home practice is expected between sessions. By the end of the programme, many people report feeling calmer, more focused, sleeping better, and being less reactive to life's challenges.
